Guidelines and Standards
GUIDELINES and STANDARDS
Parent Expectations:
-
Steadfast Homeschool Community is a true homeschool cooperative program. All member families pitch in to use their gifts and talents in order for Steadfast to succeed. All members must sign up for volunteer jobs (job credits) to participate in Steadfast. Members must sign up to earn a minimum of six job credits.
-
Steadfast is not a drop off program. Parents are expected to stay on campus during the class day. In an emergency situation, we will allow you to have another parent on campus be responsible for your child(ren). This is allowed only on a case-by-case basis and with the prior approval of leadership.
-
All volunteering adults (18+) must have successfully completed a background check through the company recommended by Steadfast, have read and agreed to abide by the Statements of Mission and Faith, the Guidelines and Standards, and the Conflict Resolution Policy.
-
The assigned parent jobs must be covered at all times. If you are unable to serve in your assigned role, you must let the Parent Jobs Coordinator know as soon as possible so she can assign a floater in your spot.
-
If a parent is missing more than three times a semester*, they must find their own replacement with an on campus friend or family member that has successfully completed a Steadfast background check; has read and agreed to abide by the Statements of Mission and Faith, the Guidelines and Standards, and the Conflict Resolution Policy, and be approved to work at Steadfast *As a cooperative it is imperative to fulfill your parent job requirements or you may not be able to attend Steadfast in the future.
-
All floaters are needed each week. Please keep your phone handy and be ready to receive your job assignment. The Parent Jobs Coordinator will text you if you are assigned to work. Please respond so she knows you received this message.
-
All fees must be paid by the due date. Failure to pay, or to make special payment arrangements by the due date will result in membership suspension. Members with a remaining balance will not be allowed to register for the next semester’s classes.
-
Teachers, teachers assistants, floaters, and all job responsibilities must show up, be on time, and remain in the classroom (or at assigned job) for the entire class period.
-
It is the responsibility of the parents to know where their kids are at all times.
-
Cell phones are not allowed to be used by parents for personal use, during class time.
-
Steadfast is a nut-free campus.
Student Expectations:
-
All students must agree to follow and abide by the Student Code of Conduct.
-
Students must show up on time and remain in class for the entire class period. If a student needs to leave, they are required to get permission from the teacher before they do so.
-
Cell phones are not allowed to be used by students during class time (unless they are being used for the purpose of the class).
-
Steadfast does not have a formal dress code, however we ask that members use their best judgement and make sure all private areas are completely covered.
-
Biting or aggressive behavior in class will not be tolerated. If you have a child that has issues with biting or aggression, that child will need to have an aide to help them. The parent will be responsible for finding the aide.
-
Disrespectful behavior to any member of the group, cheating, stealing, bullying, drug use, profanity, obscenity, sexual immorality, public displays of affection beyond hand holding, conduct contrary to one’s biological sex, dishonor to the Word of God, disrespect to the leadership of the group, or continued disobedience to the established standards of this group will not be tolerated.
